Regarding the Day-Date model, an important innovation coincides with the year 1977: a sapphire crystal and a new 3055 movement with a quick snap of the date display accompany the introduction of the new 5-digit references. Of course, as for the previous specimens, the last number indicates the material of the case, following a precise criterion that associates a number with each metal. The example here offered an extremely well preserved and really sought after 18 038. Its yellow-gold case fitted with a fluted bezel is in very nice conditions with sharp edges and deep hallmarks. It also features an extremely rare dial configuration: black lacquered surface in great conditions, it presents baguette-cut diamond indexes, a very unusual and sought after lay out that rarely appears on the market and manufactured in low quantity numbers. The text are in gold exactly like the minute track, all recalling the yellow-gold case and baton hands. Precious and offered with original box, booklets, tag and napkin, the present specimen is an elegant collector’s watch suitable for casual or formal wear.
