Rolex’s Submariner wristwatch has surely become one of the most iconic timepieces of the 20th century and probably one of the most recognizable of all horology history. In 2020, Rolex released a new version of the Submariner with the introduction of the reference 126610LN. While the overall aesthetics remain similar to previous models, the case of the 2020 example has been enlarged to 41 mm, up from 40 mm with redesigned lugs giving the watch a more tapered profile while also the crown guards are also more slender. That extra millimeter has also allowed Rolex to extend and elongate the case, giving the whole visage better overall proportionality. In fact, it actually looks smaller than the model it replaces 116610LN. The newly developed caliber 3235 features more than 90 per cent of new parts compared to the 3135, and is protected by no less than 14 different patents. This new caliber incorporates Rolex’s patented “Chronergy” escapement combining higher energy efficiency and dependability, along with an extended power reserve from 48 hours to 70 hours. Offered in new condition, the present reference 126610LN retains its factory wrap on the case, along with all original accessories, warranty, wallet, product literature and presentation box. This example from 2021 is a rare opportunity for a collector to own one of the newest Rolex models.
