Debuted in 1997 as a statement of casual elegance, the Aquanaut collection has enjoyed a number of variations such as sizes and metals. Reminiscent of the Nautilus, with a distinctive octagonal shaped case, the Patek Philippe ref. 4960A is a fine lady’s Aquanaut manufactured in stainless steel. Boasting an elegant black dial with its signature embossment, this time-and-date wristwatch is framed in a petite stainless steel case that measures only 29.5 mm. It is powered by the in-house quartz calibre E19 C. Unlike the standard Aquanauts, this ref. 4960 A-001 is paired with a solid stainless steel bracelet, giving the quiet giant a greater wrist presence. Preserved in remarkable overall condition, the present example is the perfect purchase for a gift. Thanks to its contemporary design, the Aquanaut has become a true classic.
