The elegance and virtue of a pocket watch are timeless. And is even more so if the pocket watch has been manufactured by the Swiss brand Patek Philippe. Despite being a time-only watch on the dial, this open-face specimen is absolutely fascinating in its elegance and offers an incredible appreciated complication on its inside. The large circular case totally in yellow gold is a trophy of early 20th century watchmaking, with its polished, gold hinged cuvette. The white dial presents painted black Breguet numbers with outer minute track, a subsidiary second at 6 o’clock topped off with spade hands. The main peculiarity of the whole watch is its incredible minute repeater complication, whose gongs sound is activated by the slide on the band. This lot comes directly from the family of the original owner and is further offered with box, paper and its additional glass.
