Introduced by Patek Philippe in 1958 and produced until around 1964, the reference 3401 is a rare and elegant timepiece crafted exclusively in platinum. With fewer than 200 pieces made, it holds a special place in the brand’s history. Originally marketed as a men’s Calatrava, its 32 mm case size and diamond-set bezel make it a stunning option for a woman’s wrist today. Exuding timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, the silver-finished dial contrasts beautifully against the platinum case and diamond bezel. Overall, the case, manufactured by F. Baumgartner and identified by Geneva master case maker key 2, still retains strong proportions and a crisp hallmark to the bottom right side of the lug. At the moment, on the public market, less than 10 examples have been identified, making the present Patek Philippe reference 3401, further accompanied by its original certificate of origin, an incredibly rare opportunity for collectors.
