Produced between 2003 and 2010, the Rolex reference 16610LV was introduced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner. Dubbed the “Kermit” for its similarity to the iconic Muppet frog, this model is celebrated for its unique green bezel insert. It also introduced the glossy maxi dial to the Submariner lineup, featuring larger hour markers and slightly broader hands compared to the traditional black dial of the reference 16 610. In 2010, the “Kermit” was succeeded by the reference 116610LV, popularly known as the “Hulk.” Despite this, the “Kermit” remains highly prized for its aluminum bezel and is regarded as one of the most desirable Submariner models available today.
