When Walter Lange re-established the manufacture in 1990, the Lange 1 became the cornerstone of a new era. At 4 o’clock, a subsidiary dial displays local time, framed by a rotating city ring along the periphery of the dial. A discreet arrow indicates the selected city, while day/night indicators for both home and local time ensure immediate clarity across time zones. Correcting the date via the pusher at 10 o’clock and advancing the city ring through the pusher at 8 o’clock make the watch remarkably intuitive to operate.
