The Breguet Tradition reference 7057 is a clear expression of Breguet’s ability to reinterpret its own history in a contemporary way. Rather than referencing the past through decoration alone, the Tradition line builds directly on the architecture of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s late 18th-century Souscription watches, where the mechanics themselves were the focal point. Introduced in 2010, the reference 7057 marks a more modern evolution of this concept. The larger 40mm case gives the watch greater presence, while the anthracite-treated movement enhances contrast and legibility. The entire gear train is displayed on the dial side, arranged with a strong sense of symmetry that reflects both technical logic and visual balance. The off-centered guilloché dial remains a defining feature. It preserves the classical Breguet language, Roman numerals, blued hands, engine-turned decoration, while allowing the movement to dominate the composition. The result is a layered display where tradition and mechanics coexist without compromise. The balance wheel, positioned prominently, becomes a natural focal point, while the power reserve indicator is integrated with restraint. Housed in white gold with a fluted caseband, the watch retains the familiar Breguet codes, yet feels distinctly modern in execution. The contrast between polished surfaces and the matte movement finish adds further depth.
