The present Tank Cintrée, a highly attractive and exceptionally rare yellow gold wristwatch, is numbered 019 of a limited edition of 150 examples and forms part of the celebrated Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP) series. It exemplifies Cartier’s mastery of proportion and elegance, with its dramatically elongated and curved case, a modern reinterpretation of the original Cintrée model, introduced in 1921 and widely regarded as one of Cartier’s purest expressions of design. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the watch combines striking wrist presence with understated refinement. Its limited production and low edition number “019” further enhance its exclusivity and appeal to discerning collectors. The watch is equipped with a manually wound mechanical movement, consistent with the CPCP philosophy of pairing traditional haute horlogerie with iconic Cartier aesthetics. The case is completed by a traditional cabochon crown and a classic deployant clasp. The dial is particularly distinguished, featuring a finely silvered surface with oversized “exploded” Arabic numerals, a chemin de fer minute track, and Breguet style blued steel hands. The dial is signed “Made in France” at 6 o’clock, a signature that is also engraved on the caseback beneath the French hallmarks, emphasizing the watch’s exceptional provenance. Preserved in excellent overall condition, the present example represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectible modern Cartier wristwatches. Its combination of yellow gold, limited edition number, oversized numeral dial, and the highly regarded CPCP heritage makes it an important piece for any collector of fine Cartier timepieces.
