The image of the falcon has been used in many cultures, such as the Roman one during the Holy Roman Empire and the Russian Socialist Republic. The falcon expresses the power of vision, of determination and perhaps for this reason it was used in 1973 (and subsequently modified in 2008) as the official emblem of the United Arab Emirates. A fairly common practice for Rolex to portray some watches with particular logos such as UAE Armed Forces, UAE Air Forces, the UAE Eagle, the Abu Dhabi Government, and, on a few very exceptional collections. They are, rarely, available from vintage watch boutiques and here is one of the best Rolex reference 6426 in steel with silvered dial featuring the official UAE logo with the falcon.
