Rolex launched the GMT-Master in 1954 in order to provide pilots a watch that could read 24-hour time for a selected time zone. Following the success of this model, in 1959 Rolex introduced its successor, the reference 1675, which Rolex produced until 1980. Although the reference 1675 had a very long run, there were many changes and variations made for this reference by Rolex, from dial to bezel and case to bracelet. The lot offered here is a beautiful specimen of the later reference, the 16750 with notable features: the stainless steel case is in great conditions with a well-preserved chapter ring that is slowly fading. The mat dial with open minutes has absolutely gorgeous yellow-ocher indeed and hands, aged in a magnificent way capable of conferring charm to the whole watch. This watch definitely lavish, together with the appealing feature just described, is also equipped with the always fascinating stainless steel Oyster bracelet.
