A Rolex Daytona timepiece is one of the most iconic watches that Rolex has ever produced, much of the success of the modern-day Daytona can be attributed to the various Rolex chronographs that came before them. The Oyster chronograph reference 6034 is one of Rolex’s most sought-after watches, effortlessly combining a sporty look with elegant flair. It was launched for the first time in the early 1950s and was later replaced by the 6234 by the end of the same decade. The present watch is an amazing example and attracts for the very well-preserved condition of the two body case, a typical feature of this specific reference since from the later models the case would have been composed by 3. Examples of 6034 in pink gold are exceedingly being since have been produced in very few pieces thus, the present lot is already a precious specimen. The pink-gold indexes and alpha hands are the original one with still the same luminous material and the silver dial is aged perfectly with a charm patina completed by the uncommon ultra-rare blue outer pulsation scale besides the tachymeter one. This specific watch is published in John Goldberger Book “100 Superlative Rolex Watches” at page 86 and is the only one in pink gold with double scale.
