The present example is a very attractive, playful variation of “Stella” Day-Date: its combination of rich green color and yellow-gold markers make this lot extremely intriguing and fascinating. It is a reference 18038 offered in very pleasing condition its rarity is given by the special dial known for their fragile nature are increasingly scarce to find in unharmed condition such as the present one. The enamel of each dial was mixed separately by hand and applied in layers. The tonneau case of 36 mm with screw back is in full 18k yellow gold and still presents the original proportion with a precious president bracelet. On the back is also visible in the deep hallmarks confirming that this watch has been worn only occasionally. Compared to vintage Rolex tool watches, Stella models are still attractively priced despite the fact that they have become dearer in the past few years.
