The present lot speaks to the watch aficionados for its special movement, beautiful case and particular dial. Absolutely attractive, this reference 5953-2 features the caliber 30Ch, the last movement totally in-house produced by Longines, that from 1947 took the stage as the latest and best chronograph movement manufactured by the Swiss brand. The case with snap on back and rectangular pushers has been manufactured in 18k pink gold and is definitely special for its style: the stepped bezel recalls the motif present on the fancy lugs and confers to this very watch presence and charisma, different from the majority of Longines chronographs that can be found on the market. The dial is silvered with applied Arabic and rectangular numbers, Arabic five minute divisions, outer red telemeter and blue tachometer scales, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register. Accompanied by the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale on 25 April 1951 to the company Bensadon which was at that time our agent for Morocco.
