Among the numerous captivating timepieces created by Movado, the Celestograf, also known as the Astrograph in vintage advertisements, is a particularly intriguing and sophisticated advancement of the Movado Calendograf. This watch, produced from 1947 to 1954, boasts a moon phase complication in addition to a triple calendar, all driven by the calibre 473 movement. The offered specimen, reference 14920, is made of stainless steel and remains in outstanding condition, distinguished by its unique turtle-shaped lugs. Its two-tone dial features rare hourglass-shaped markers, dual windows at the 12 o'clock position for the month and day, an outer ring for the date, and a moon phase display with constant seconds at the 6 o'clock position.
