His name is closely associated with some of the finest mid-century creations from Patek Philippe, Cartier and Vacheron Constantin, alongside an extraordinary appreciation for Gilbert Albert's groundbreaking designs and a fascination with exceptional enamel dials, double-signed watches and rare shaped cases. While many collectors have pursued the familiar icons of modern watch collecting, Roni has consistently followed a different path, assembling one of the most distinctive private collections in the world.
This autumn, for the first time, he has chosen to entrust an auction house with watches from his personal collection. Monaco Legend is truly honored to present a part of the Roni Madvhani Collection at auction this October 31st - November 1st in Monaco.

"As with many collectors," Madhvani explains, "there is always a degree of hesitation when dealing with auction houses. Some can appear unapproachable, interested only in their biggest clients and highest-value watches. Unfortunately, others have also developed reputations that make collectors think twice.”
Like many collectors, he spent years observing the auction world from the sidelines, recognising its importance without necessarily feeling part of it. That changed when he began participating in Monaco Legend Group's auctions, successfully acquiring several watches that had long interested him.
What followed, however, was something altogether more personal.
"What has always differentiated Monaco Legend Group for me is Davide," he says. "His kindness, approachability and humility are values that are incredibly important to me. Sadly, they are qualities that have become less common in our industry.”
For Madhvani, the relationship was never defined by the size of his purchases. Despite not considering himself one of Monaco Legend Group's biggest clients, Davide Parmegiani continued to send him the firm's beautifully produced catalogues, publications he describes as "a bible of knowledge for any collector", while always remaining available to answer questions and generously sharing his decades of experience.
One moment, however, transformed professional respect into genuine trust.
"A few years ago," Madhvani recalls, "Davide contacted me completely unexpectedly. Knowing my passion for double-signed Patek Philippe watches, he told me he had been offered a very desirable example and simply put me directly in touch with the owner."
There was no transaction to facilitate, no commission to earn and no commercial obligation.
"I was genuinely taken aback by that act of kindness," he says. "I will never forget it, and that watch will always remind me of Davide's generosity."
In a collecting world increasingly driven by competition, exclusivity and commercial interests, it is a story that says much about the values that still matter most.
"Besides all this," Madhvani adds, "Davide's knowledge and experience in our shared passion are second to none. His personal involvement in everything makes the experience exceptional. When the time came to consign watches from my own collection for the first time, I couldn't think of anyone better.”
Those words carry particular weight coming from a collector whose decisions have always been guided by instinct rather than fashion.
