A true icon of vintage Rolex collecting, the reference 6265 Daytona represents the final generation of manually wound Daytonas and is widely regarded as one of the most desirable sports chronographs of its era. This 1980 example is executed in stainless steel with a silver dial, bearing the bold “Daytona” signature in bright red above the 6 o’clock sub-dial—a hallmark feature that has earned this series its celebrated “Big Red” nickname.

The watch is preserved in very good overall condition, showing only minor signs of wear on the case and bezel, and light hairline scratches on the original Oyster bracelet. Its silver dial remains in excellent condition, free of scratches or blemishes, with all luminous plots intact and well preserved. Adding further appeal, this piece is accompanied by its original box, papers, and booklet—an increasingly rare full set for such an important vintage reference.
