The present lot is a precious specimen of reference 8876 since it is a limited edition of 200 pieced realized in yellow gold and has been conserved exceptionately during all this time. Its unusual bell-shaped two body case is embellished with the sapphire cabochon sapphire-set winding-crown, the 18k gold Cartier deployant buckle and the yellow-gold case back secured by four screws in the band. The guillochè silver dial has the iconic but slightly different Cartier style with the inner closed minutes track and black Arabic numerals instead of the classical Roman ones and blued steel hands. This Cartier with this asymmetric design is one of the most memorable and fascinating watch models and further comes with its original box.
