It was 1913 when Longines developed the iconic caliber 13.33Z which immediately became the trademark of the Swiss brand. The main characteristic of this specific movement was the use of only one pusher for the chronometer. The present lot is a remarkable representative with these movements: sealed in a yellow-gold case with hinged back, this very lot is a true beauty for its thin lugs, the absolutely well-preserved case and the small crown with monopusher. Moreover, the white enamel dial is in a definitely stunning condition thanks to the care of the past owners with a very shiny white color and has been enriched with musicale decoration with different colors such as blue, red and black with also Arabic numerals. With the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale 8 December 1928 to the company Ostersetzer, which was at that time our agent for Italy.
