Reference 1450 made by Patek Philippe such as the present watch is one of the most appreciated by collectors and is also known as “Top Hat” or “Cinesino”, as the case profile is indeed reminiscent of a Pagoda architecture. In production from 1940 till he early 1960s, was available in yellow, rose and white gold in addition to platinum. The present watch is one of the most interesting examples: fully realized in 18k yellow gold with a gorgeous, well preserved and solid bracelet, the case has been conserved amazingly. The dial is already rare for its striped gilt layout but to make it even more prestigious are the 12 sapphire indexes, a very unusual feature to be found on such a watch. The caliber is the iconic manually wound 9’’’90 one of Patek Philippe’s most highly regarded form movements. With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin confirming the movement, case material, caliber and reference.
