The lot offered is a very fine specimen of Patek Philippe reference 3561. This model was in production for only 3 years, from 1968 till 1970 and was available only in 18k yellow gold, such as this example. Scholars say that only 150 pieces have been produced making the present wristwatch a very rare opportunity. The case, as already said, is in yellow gold, composed of two-body with solid screw down transparent back, concave thin lugs, sapphire crystal and sloped bezel, all really well preserved and in great conditions. The brushed silver dial is mint, with applied yellow-gold baton indexes, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and yellow-gold baton hands. The caliber is the 27–460, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark. Moreover, the watch is offered with its original certificate of origin and by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in yellow gold in 1969 and its subsequent sale on 12 May 1971.
