Model: Progressive counter monopusher Reference: 5679 Case Material: Stainless Steel Bracelet Material: Leather strap Year: 1946 Movement: Manual Caliber: 12.68Z Movement N°: 6956432 Dimensions: 34 mm Signed: Case, dial, movement Accessories: Extract from the Archives At a first glance, the present reference 23 076 might seem like a simple chronograph but its peculiarity lies in the highly unusual arrangement of the chronographic hands: instead of having the minutes register at 3 o’ clock, there is a supplementary central red hand for the minutes while the subsidiary counter is used for the constant seconds. The caliber used is the 12.68Z and is stored into a three bodies stainless steel case of 34 mm diameter with a snap on back, straight concave lugs excellently preserved by the past owner. The chronograph complication is activated by the single rectangular pusher located at 2 o’clock on the band. The silver dial presents black painted Arabic numerals, the over-mentioned center minute & center second-hand recorders and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The watch is definitely well preserved with some light scratches due to general use but still maintaining the original proportions. Accompanied by the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale on 19 August 1946 to the company Zivy, which was at that time our agent for Mexico.
