Despite the well known oversized Portugieser, Aquatimer or Ingenieur, IWC also dared with slightly atypical cases for its standards, an example is the watch offered here with its unusual rectangular shape. Made of yellow gold, its massive 27 × 33 mm case recalls the style of the watches of the period with more square shapes. Its preservation is admirable considering its age, the numbers on the case back are extremely well visible and noted with a limited edition numbered. The white porcelain with applied yellow-gold baton indexes, subsidiary dials for the days of the month, of the week and the months, apertures for the moon phases and the 2-digit year display, outer minute track is perfectly preserved.
