Patented in 1955 and released only a year later, the Rolex Day-Date presented itself as a watch of undoubted charm but often also very undervalued given its complication that could indicate the day of the week and the date. In 1977, Rolex introduced a new movement for the Day-Date generation, caliber 3055. It is the first Rolex movement to have a quick-set function, making it very easy to correct the date. The present watch impresses by its excellent overall condition, with sharp gold marks and hallmarks under the lugs, and the elegant yet subtle silver dial added to a champagne patina with diamonds indexes with brilliant and baguette cut. A superb specimen of the timelessly classic white-gold Rolex creations.
