Clients coming from Middle-East and Asia have always been an important core for watches and jewelry manufacturers and for Piaget the same is true. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, Yves G. Piaget personally visited these countries to receive commissions from the firm's most esteemed clients where a large number of these collectors were women. Just for them, the Swiss brand created some special and often unique pieces, daring with bezels and cases adorned with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. The lot here offered is on of these incredible specimens with a tiny and elegant rectangular yellow gold case wonderfully preserved and lavishly set with baguette-cut. Powered by a duoplan movement set by the winding crown on the back, it is further equipped with a black dial with gilt Piaget signature and baton hands.
