In the beginning of the 1970’s, the watchmaking industry was shivering as the Quartz crisis was becoming a reality they had to face. Already internationally renowned for its ultra-thin movement and extravagant designs, Piaget was ready for a new challenge and decided to accept it focusing on creations that could combine aesthetic beauty, use of precious stones and performing movements. The Piaget Tanagra is a successful collection, vision of golden opulence with its 18k yellow gold case and matching bracelet powered by a quartz movement such as the present timepiece. The two body solid case with reeded band and bezel, case back with 4 screws in full 18k yellow gold is preserved in great conditions with a gold bracelet of the same layout. The dial presents a radial yellow gold Roman numerals on an white reserve and a bezel diamond-set.
