Since the year of its foundation in 1847, Cartier has always tried to experiment in form, mechanisms and attitude. This attitude and foresight helped men move from pocket watches to wristwatches, effectively making the watch much more functional and prominent in a man’s overall wardrobe. Over the decades, Cartier has re-issued popular models, making them contemporary to the era, but keeping them as innovative, interesting, and coveted as the past. One of these model is surely the Tank. Introduced in 1917, the design took its inspiration from the top view of the very first Renault military tank vehicle deployed that same year. The Mini Tank here offered is a classic watch that is beloved by women and watch aficionados worldwide. This beautiful example has an 18k yellow-gold case with rounded angles typical of the iconic design of the Tank. Instead of a leather strap, this lady watch has an elegant 18k yellow-gold bracelet with an 18k yellow-gold hidden butterfly clasp. Fully preserved in nice conditions, the dial is typically Cartier: white with large, black Roman numerals, hidden signature at 10 and blued-steel hands. The crown has the blue sapphire cabochon.
