Among the many models Cartier produced of the Tank such as the Cintrée, the Chinoise or Louis Cartier Tank, that are all simply amazing, probably the most appreciated remains the Tank Americaine, created in 1989. The present lot is a very fine representative of the Tank XL family considering its generous dimensions. It is a specimen realized in 18k pink gold, absolutely gorgeous in its design and amazing when dressed. The big carved cabochon is perfect in its conservation such as the nice dial. The Cartier signature stands out sightly above the blue steel hands and inside the minutes closed track while, to close the composition, are painted the Roman indexes. Preserved in definitely remarkable conditions, this watch is the perfect complement for every man or even audacious women’s wrist.
