A specialist in the manufacture of watches since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. People often link Audemars Piguet with the Royal Oak and often forget that the brand was making watches long before this nowadays iconic model ever came to life. In fact, AP has a distinguished history of producing exquisite dress watches in precious metals and often embellished with particular dials. Due to the limited numbers and knowledge spread, vintage Audemars Piguet remains still today a land for connoisseurs and passionate treasure hunters. The here offered lot is a stunning example of dress watch that could perfectly fit the wrist of a respectable and refined collector. The yellow square shape of this case is timeless with a wonderful straight lugs which makes the watch sit perfectly upon the wrist. The watch is in remarkable conditions considering its age, with no evident signs of wearing and very deep hallmark on the back lugs and the serial numbers on the case back. The dial is absolutely gorgeous and uncommon to find with a glossy black color in a square frame, that perfectly matches with the dart and Arabic indexes and yellow baton hands. Moreover the seconds counter is located at six o’clock.
