This amazing watch is also referred to as “Octopus” due to the design of its President bracelet and is a rare example of a Datejust reference 6917, manufactured with a beautiful diamond-set bezel that matches perfectly the diamonds put on this unusual bracelet. The lot offered here has an attractive and unusual combination of rich brown wood dial and yellow gold. This watch boasts history, comfort, and function, having adorned the wrists of some seriously powerful and influential women. Manufactured with a very rare diamond-set bezel and a very captivating wood dial produced in small number by Rolex, over the years Rolex has and continues to experiment with many different dial designs with a variety of hard stones and unusual materials.
