The late 1950s to the early 1960s was an interesting era for the world of horology. At the time, Omega experimented with an array of chronometers, realized different variants with an abundance of nuances. This Omega Chronostop is a vintage wristwatch making it a superb example for the Omega demanding collectors with a very nice dial configuration. Fitted with Omega’s caliber 865 chronograph movement that when chronograph is in function, a press of the single button makes it stop and return to zero in one operation, is housed in a two-body tonneau shaped case with lapidated bezel and lugs, screwed-down case back and the winding crown at 4 o’clock. The layout of this dial is extremely nice, with a combination of white and black background, applied steel indexes on the black and outer 1/5 of a second track on the white. The dial configuration is completed by black baton hands and a red omega logo at 12 o’clock.
