Produced in the early 1990s, the present Ulysse Nardin Split-Seconds Chronograph is one of the manufacture's rarest modern creations. Manufactured in a limited series of approximately 50 examples across all metals, the present watch is further distinguished by the "No. 1" designation proudly displayed on its dial. It is powered by the highly collectible manual-winding Venus calibre 179, visible through the sapphire caseback and admired for its refined architecture and traditional finishing. Housed in a 40 mm yellow gold case, the watch features an elegant cream dial with contrasting subsidiary registers, Roman numerals and blued steel hands, offering a timeless aesthetic that perfectly complements the technical sophistication of the rattrapante chronograph.
