Few modern watches have reshaped the landscape of haute horlogerie as profoundly as the Lange 1. Introduced in 1994 upon A. Lange & Söhne's triumphant rebirth, it challenged every convention of classical watchmaking with its asymmetrical dial, oversized date inspired by the Semper Opera House clock in Dresden, and uncompromising Saxon craftsmanship. Today, it stands as one of the defining horological icons of the modern era, admired as much for its technical brilliance as for its unmistakable design. The present Lange 1, reference 101.039, is offered in elegant white gold and preserved in excellent condition. Its argenté luminous dial, adorned with applied Roman numerals, beautifully frames the signature off-centred display, power reserve indicator and oversized date, while the sapphire caseback reveals the magnificent manually wound calibre L901.0 with German silver three-quarter plate, hand-engraved balance cock and gold chatons. Accompanied by its original guarantee and accessories, this is a superb example of one of the most influential wristwatches of the last three decades.
