The present OMEGA is believed to be a unique prototype produced during the development of the brand’s perpetual calendar wristwatches. Dating from the 1990s, this exceptional stainless-steel timepiece combines a perpetual calendar with moon-phase indication, housed in a remarkably compact case measuring approximately 35 mm in diameter. The watch is fitted with the automatic OMEGA calibre 1116 and features a distinctive dial layout with yellow gold applied Roman numerals and multiple calendar indications. Its unusual configuration and experimental character strongly suggest that it was produced as a development or presentation piece rather than for commercial production. Further enhancing its significance is its remarkable provenance, having formerly belonged to Anton Bally, former director of ETA S.A. and a prominent figure in the Swiss watchmaking industry. His ownership provides an important historical link to the Swiss watch industry and adds considerable interest to this already highly unusual OMEGA.
