A superb expression of Vacheron Constantin’s jewellery watchmaking, the present timepiece combines an elegant white gold case and integrated bracelet with a strikingly graphic dial. The rectangular case is framed by a finely set diamond-set bezel, its brilliant-cut stones providing a luminous contrast to the cool tone of the metal and enhancing the watch’s architectural proportions. At the heart of the watch is the celebrated automatic calibre K1120, renowned for its exceptionally slim construction and refined technical architecture. Its use allowed Vacheron Constantin to achieve the remarkably elegant profile characteristic of the maison’s most sophisticated creations of the period. The dial is particularly captivating, composed of a geometric mosaic of natural mother-of-pearl and black onyx. The iridescent surfaces of the mother-of-pearl contrast dramatically with the deep, glossy black of the onyx, creating a bold abstract composition whose facets catch and reflect the light from different angles. Completed by a fully integrated white gold bracelet, the present example represents the seamless fusion of haute horlogerie and jewellery craftsmanship for which Vacheron Constantin is renowned. Its combination of a prestigious ultra-thin automatic movement, precious materials and exceptionally distinctive mosaic dial makes it an especially compelling example of the maison’s mid-century design language.
