Introduced in 1976, the reference 3050 holds a special place in Breguet's history as the first perpetual calendar wristwatch conceived during Daniel Roth's tenure at the Maison. Having joined Breguet in 1975, Roth led the brand's remarkable revival until its acquisition by Investcorp in 1987, reintroducing many of the classical design codes that continue to define Breguet today. The reference is distinguished by its elegant 36 mm coin-edge case, measuring only 8 mm in thickness, together with a beautifully guilloché dial and the Maison's signature blued-steel Breguet hands. The present watch belongs to the highly desirable Pre-A series, representing one of the earliest examples produced before Breguet's acquisition by Investcorp, when case numbers had not yet incorporated the alphabetical designation found on later examples. Further enhancing its appeal, the yellow gold case has developed a beautiful, even oxidation over time, giving the watch exceptional warmth and character. The present watch is further distinguished by its provenance from the collection of Johnny Dorelli, the celebrated Italian singer, actor and television personality.
