Dating to the 1970s, this remarkable wristwatch by Omega reflects the maison’s adventurous approach to design during a decade of experimentation, when traditional watchmaking was reinterpreted through bold forms, unconventional materials, and highly decorative compositions. Crafted in 18k white gold, the watch features a distinctive rectangular case framing a striking black onyx surround. The dial is divided into four triangular sections arranged around the central hands, with two sections crafted from richly grained natural wood and two sections pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds. The alternating composition creates a captivating geometric effect, balancing the organic character of the wood with the brilliance of the precious stones.
