The Altiplano has long represented Piaget’s uncompromising pursuit of ultra-thin watchmaking, and the present High Jewellery Tourbillon is a dazzling expression of this philosophy. Measuring 41 mm in diameter, its 18K white gold case is set with 48 baguette-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.51 carats and 265 brilliant-cut diamonds of approximately 2.42 carats. The fully pavé dial is further embellished with 511 brilliant-cut diamonds and 24 baguette-cut diamonds, while the setting extends to the lugs, case sides, sapphire case back and folding clasp. At its heart is Piaget’s Manufacture Calibre 670P, an exceptionally thin hand-wound tourbillon measuring just 4.6 mm in thickness. Comprising 157 components and 23 jewels, it beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 48 hours of power reserve. Its refined finishing includes circular Côtes de Genève and hand-bevelled bridges and tourbillon carriage. The asymmetric display, with the hours and minutes on a subsidiary dial opposite the flying tourbillon, is a distinctive Piaget signature. Accompanied by its original presentation box and documentation, the present timepiece unites technical virtuosity with high jewellery savoir-faire.
