Introduced as one of Audemars Piguet’s most distinctive creations, the “Bamboo” bracelet embodies the Maison’s fascination with sculptural forms and exceptional gem-setting. The present example is a particularly sumptuous interpretation, entirely crafted in white gold and lavishly set with brilliant-cut diamonds across the case, bracelet and dial. The rectangular tonneau-shaped case is enhanced by the characteristic ribbed and articulated construction of the Bamboo bracelet, creating a highly fluid silhouette around the wrist. Its fully pavé-set dial is distinguished by twelve vivid emerald-set hour markers, providing a striking contrast to the brilliance of the diamonds and lending the watch an unmistakable character. According to the Extract from the Archives, the present watch is fitted with the quartz calibre 2508 and was registered on 24 August 1989, confirming its production in the late 1980s. The archive further identifies it as a white gold Bamboo wristwatch, reference 66216BC.ZZ.0636BC.02, with serial number C66343-307575. A remarkable expression of late twentieth-century Haute Joaillerie, this Audemars Piguet Bamboo combines an iconic bracelet design with lavish factory-set diamonds and emeralds, making it an especially compelling example for collectors of the Maison’s gem-set creations.
