A striking expression of Piaget’s distinctive approach to jewellery watches of the 1970s, the present timepiece combines precious materials, vibrant colours and bold sculptural design. Crafted in 18K yellow gold, the bracelet is composed of articulated rectangular links, each framed by a finely textured, ribbed gold surface that enhances the play of light and gives the watch a distinctly tactile character. Alternating polished plaques of vivid blue lapis lazuli and richly coloured green hardstone, most likely jasper, are set along the bracelet, creating a sophisticated chromatic rhythm. At its centre, the rectangular watch head is seamlessly integrated into the bracelet and features a matching green stone dial, signed Piaget, with elegant gold baton hands and applied central detail. The concealed construction of the case and bracelet further emphasises the jewel-like nature of the creation, while the manually wound Piaget calibre 6N provides a discreet and refined mechanical heart. With its combination of exceptional craftsmanship, natural hardstones and unmistakable 1970s aesthetic, this highly original Piaget exemplifies the Maison’s celebrated tradition of combining haute horlogerie with avant-garde jewellery design.
