The Calatrava is one of Patek Philippe’s most enduring creations, its origins dating to 1932 and the introduction of the celebrated reference 96. Introduced in 1985, reference 3919 represents one of the most recognizable modern interpretations of this iconic design, distinguished by its finely executed “Clous de Paris” bezel. The present example, dating to 1990, is cased in 18K yellow gold and features a pristine white lacquered dial with elegant black Roman numerals, feuille hands and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The slim, classically proportioned case is complemented by the characteristic hobnail-pattern bezel and signed winding crown. Inside beats the manually wound calibre 215, a celebrated ultra-thin movement renowned for its reliability and refined construction.
