In the late 1990s, Cartier launched the Cartier Paris Private Collection (CPCP), dedicated to reinterpreting the Maison’s historic models with exceptional attention to detail, precious materials and refined finishing. The present reference 2435F faithfully reinterprets one of Cartier’s most iconic creations, crafted in platinum, a material rarely used in the Maison’s standard production at the time and traditionally reserved for exceptional pieces. This large men’s model reflects the spirit of the CPCP, conceived for discerning collectors seeking to rediscover the character of Cartier’s earliest Tonneau watches from the 1910s and 1920s. The watch combines traditional craftsmanship with sophisticated finishing, including hand-executed guilloché and polishing, together with a classic hand-wound mechanical movement.
