Behind every auction, throughout the year, our team is sourcing, advising and placing exceptional timepieces into some of the world's finest private collections. It is a side of the business that has defined my career for more than forty years and remains one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do.
Since our Lugano auction in June, we have had the privilege of handling and placing a remarkable number of museum-quality vintage watches through private sales. Many of these pieces will never appear at public auction. Instead, they move quietly from one important collection to another through relationships built over decades and founded on trust, discretion and expertise.
The watches presented here, represent just a small selection of what we have been fortunate enough to place during this short period. Behind every one is a story of research, patience and long-standing relationships. Above all, they reflect the confidence and trust that collectors place in Monaco Legend Group, whether they are searching for an exceptional watch or entrusting us with one of their most treasured timepieces.
This has always been my philosophy.
I have never seen myself simply as a watch dealer. My passion has always been advising clients to build great collections, understanding what they are looking for and finding the right piece at the right moment.
But there is also a deeper reason why I have devoted my life to this business.
To me, a great vintage watch is far more than an object to be bought or sold. It is a piece of history that has survived because different generations of caretakers recognised its importance and chose to preserve it. We don't simply trade vintage watches. We preserve their history, protect their provenance and help place them in the right collections where they will be appreciated for generations to come.
That philosophy continues to guide Monaco Legend Group today. While our auctions bring outstanding watches to an international audience, our private sales department works continuously behind the scenes, connecting collectors with watches that rarely become publicly available - growing our watch community of passionates.
Some of the world's finest watches never appear under the lights of an auction room. They change hands quietly, discreetly and with complete confidence. That is where much of our work takes place.
