In 1969 references 6263 and 6265 were simultaneously launched in stainless steel, 14K gold and 18K gold versions, both with the wording “Oyster” on the dial, present for the first time in the history of the Daytona and the innovative screw pushers. The present lot offered here is a high quality specimen made in 18 kt yellow gold is a specimen of 6263 which means that I equipped with the acrylic black, graduated bezel. The acrylic bezel strikes for the untouched conservation matching perfectly the champagne color with applied baton numerals, ocher luminous dots and black subsidiary dial. Very well preserved, the case still has the initial features with sharp lugs, showing 3 deep hallmarks on the case back and featuring a manual winding cal. 727. In addition, to complete the offer, it comes with its original box, papers and booklets.
