Introduced in 2000 to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium, the Patek Philippe reference 5100 was conceived as a landmark limited edition combining technical innovation with one of the manufacture’s most distinctive case designs. Produced in four precious metals, the reference was limited to 3,000 examples, with only 750 crafted in pink gold. The elegant flared rectangular case was inspired by the celebrated reference 2554 of the 1950s, known among collectors as the “Manta Ray”. Its distinctive architecture combines concave and convex surfaces, creating one of Patek Philippe’s most recognisable modern designs. Technically, the reference 5100 marked another important milestone as Patek Philippe’s first wristwatch with a 10-day power reserve. Combining historical inspiration, technical innovation and the significance of its Millennium production, the present pink gold example represents a particularly attractive version of this celebrated reference. The watch is offered as a complete set with its original box, Certificate of Origin, limited edition attestation, commemorative accessories and accompanying documentation.
