Introduced in 1921, the Tank Cintrée stands among Cartier's most iconic and sophisticated creations, celebrated for its elongated proportions and gracefully curved case that perfectly follows the contour of the wrist. The case was manufactured by Wright & Davies Ltd. of Clerkenwell, London, the distinguished firm responsible for producing the cases and gold deployant clasps for Cartier London's wristwatches, all of which were supplied to the Maison's boutique at 175 New Bond Street. The English hallmarks stamped inside the case allow the watch to be precisely dated to 1975. In keeping with Cartier London's production, the watch was subsequently assembled and finished in the boutique by Eric Denton and his highly skilled team of watchmakers. Remarkably preserved, it retains its original 18K gold deployant clasp, engraved with the same case number as the watch, an exceptionally desirable feature confirming the originality and integrity of this rare London-made Tank Cintrée. Combining documented London manufacture, outstanding originality and exceptional craftsmanship, the present example represents a remarkable opportunity for the discerning Cartier collector.
