Introduced in 1959, Reference 1675 enjoyed an exceptionally long production run, remaining in production for more than two decades and being offered in both stainless steel and gold. Its bezel features a distinctive brown and gold colour combination, while the similarly brown dial is distinguished by its domed, applied gold hour markers, which have earned it the nickname “Nipple Dial” among collectors. The present example perfectly illustrates this blend of robustness and refinement. Its Oyster case, crafted entirely from 18K yellow gold, houses the automatic calibre 1575. The dial has developed a deep brown patina, with the characteristic sheen resulting from the natural ageing process typical of this type of lacquer. It is paired with a rotating bezel featuring a brown and gold insert, itself patinated in tones that harmonise with the dial — a distinctive feature highly sought after by connoisseurs of vintage Rolex watches. Fitted with a leather strap, this GMT-Master 1675 exudes a truly unique elegance.
