During the 1960s and 1970s, like several other prestigious watch manufacturers, Vacheron Constantin established privileged distribution partnerships with a number of leading international jewellers, supplying movements and cases to maisons such as Bulgari, which was then experiencing a period of significant growth under the impetus of a new generation of the family. The present example is a particularly evocative testament to this collaboration between two exceptional fields of craftsmanship. Its delicately proportioned round case, crafted in 18K rose gold, bears the signature “Vacheron & Constantin Genève” on its light grey dial, featuring applied hour markers. The resulting composition is one of understated classical elegance, faithfully reflecting the refined graphic identity of the Geneva Manufacture. It is above all the bracelet that gives this timepiece its singular character and pronounced jewellery appeal. Crafted in 18K rose gold, it is distinguished here by exceptionally broad and continuous fluted motifs. This particularly bold variation, with its generous volume and strong visual presence, directly evokes the aesthetic of Bulgari creations from the 1970s, applying it to a multitude of jewellery and horological creations. The present example is accompanied by a complete set of service documentation issued by Bulgari, providing particularly compelling insight into the nature and provenance of this historic collaboration between the two maisons.
