Transparency has been an integral part of Cartier’s style for decades, from the first mystery clocks created in 1912 to the skeletonised movements of the 1930’s. Many years later and after a huge limited editions of transparent timepieces, in 2004 a skeletonized version of the legendary Tank Louis Cartier was offered to the public in a total run of 50 pieces. Fully realized in platinum, the present timepiece is strikingly well preserved in almost untouched conditions. he skeletonized manual caliber 9710MC is suspended between two sapphire panels making up the front and back of the case, giving the model a breath taking aesthetic.
